Precinct Operations Manager Role Overview

This is a critical leadership position responsible for overseeing the upkeep and operation of strategic defence infrastructure assets.

These include Space Surveillance Telescopes, Very Low Frequency Communications Transmitters and C-Band Radar Tracking Radars that form the backbone of our defence capabilities.

The incumbent will be leading a team consisting of various trade professionals to ensure these assets are maintained at optimal levels, aligning with company policies on Quality and EH&S standards.

A strong technical background in maintenance management is essential, along with experience supervising a team and executing process improvements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leading cross-functional teams to manage resources, reporting and deliverables.
  • Maintaining quality and environmental health and safety standards in accordance with company policies.
  • Financial management, including responsibility for Control Account Manager (CAM) duties.
  • Fostering effective stakeholder relationships and acting in accordance with professional workplace expectations.
Requirements
  • Supervisory experience in a diverse trade environment.
  • Advanced knowledge of maintenance management principles.
  • Diploma in Information Technology, Telecommunications, Electronics or Engineering relevant discipline.
  • Diploma in Leadership and Management or equivalent qualification.
  • Minimum four years prior relevant experience.
  • Experience driving process enhancements to improve job performance.

Candidates must be eligible to obtain and maintain a Negative Vetting Level 1 Security Clearance as required by law.
