Business Development Manager Role
The Business Development Manager will focus on driving business growth through commercial account management, increasing sales of commercial units, identifying opportunities, and developing relationships with new and existing commercial clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain and develop commercial business relationships with contractors, consultants, and specifiers.
- Seek and identify new commercial business opportunities or initiatives that impact the organization's competitiveness, profitability, and growth.
- Execute and construct target business initiatives and plans.
- Network within the industry to provide effective feedback on market conditions.
- Participate in and promote products at trade shows and industry-associated promotional venues.
- Regularly visit and call clients or contractors.
- Provide regular reporting to management on call cycle and market activities.
- Have experience working with commercial clients, mechanical consultants, and construction/specification businesses.
- Have a technical understanding of HVAC equipment.
- Preference for experience in selling air conditioning, HVAC, refrigeration, electrical control systems, or electrical services/devices.
- Project management experience is a plus.
- Excellent organizational management skills.
