Technical QA Specialist

The role of Technical Quality Assurance Specialist is ideal for someone with a background in oil & gas or defense, with specific expertise in weld traceability and a mechanical focus.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support shutdown teams with commissioning and QA documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with Australian standards related to weld traceability and other mechanical QA requirements.
  • Collaborate closely with engineering and operations teams to maintain quality standards throughout the shutdown process.
  • Maintain accurate records using SAP and perform document control duties.
  • Utilise Microsoft systems to track, report, and manage QA-related tasks.

Skills & Experience:

  • Minimum 3 years' experience in quality assurance, preferably within the oil & gas or defense sectors.
  • Strong mechanical background with proven experience in weld traceability and Australian standards related to QA.
  • A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
  • Proficiency with SAP and document control systems is essential.
  • Experience in working within shutdown environments, with a focus on supporting commissioning and QA documentation processes.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
  • High attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety.
