Job Role

We are seeking a skilled Horticultural Specialist to join our team at a vibrant retirement village. As a key member of our community, you will have the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of our residents and contribute to the upkeep of our beautifully maintained gardens and grounds.

The Opportunity

Bridgeman Downs Retirement Village is situated in the northern suburbs of Brisbane, offering a close-knit community surrounded by lush gardens and grounds. You will be responsible for performing routine gardening tasks, including weeding, mowing, hedging, pruning, mulching, and green waste removal.

Responsibilities
  • Carry out day-to-day gardening duties to maintain the appearance and safety of our community spaces.
  • Conduct preventative groundskeeping tasks as per schedules to prevent issues from arising.
  • Complete additional ad-hoc tasks delegated by the Community Manager to ensure the smooth operation of our facilities.
Requirements
  • A warm and caring personality with an interest in delivering exceptional service every day.
  • Proven experience in gardening duties (highly desired).
  • A current Police Check certificate (required).
  • A valid driver's license (required). Bonus points if you have an LR license.
  • Two COVID-19 Vaccinations (required).
