Job Title: Horticultural Specialist

Horticultural Specialists play a crucial role in maintaining and enhancing the natural beauty of our parks, conservation areas, streetscapes, and roadside environments.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver advanced horticultural maintenance services to Council standards and service agreements.
  • Provide technical horticultural advice to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Operate, maintain, and ensure the safe use of plant and equipment.
  • Identify and report potential safety and environmental hazards.
  • Foster a positive team culture and contribute to a productive and harmonious work environment.
  • Communicate effectively and professionally with the community and colleagues.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in delivering high-quality horticultural services efficiently and effectively.
  • Physically capable of performing strenuous outdoor work in various conditions.
  • A team player with a collaborative and proactive mindset.
  • Skilled in the use and maintenance of horticultural tools and equipment.
  • Strong technical knowledge in horticulture or a related field.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Sound understanding of workplace health and safety practices.
