Job Title: Emergency Care Specialist

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Clinical Nurse Specialist to join our nursing team in the Emergency Department at a high acuity hospital in Sydney.

This dynamic facility is located in Bella Vista and operates under the umbrella of a leading private healthcare provider in Australia. Our Emergency Department handles over 10,000 adult and paediatric presentations annually, participating in the NSW Ambulance Matrix system.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support and mentor the nursing team with planning, assessment, implementation and evaluation of patient care that adheres to best practices and exceeds standards.
  • Demonstrate professional practice by upholding AHPRA guidelines, codes of ethics and conduct, legislative requirements and organisational policies.
  • Create a learning environment through clinical presentations to enhance the skills of the nursing team and foster ongoing professional development.
  • Act as a valued member of the multidisciplinary team to deliver exceptional patient care by actively contributing to departmental and hospital quality initiatives.
  • Collaborate with external partners to ensure seamless patient care across the healthcare continuum.
  • Maintain professional relationships with VMO partners, utilising a customer-focused approach, to achieve high-quality patient outcomes.
Requirements:
  • AHPRA registration.
  • Minimum 3-5 years' experience in ED with strong clinical expertise and knowledge in resuscitation, triage and leadership roles.
  • Post Graduate Certificate in Emergency Nursing or equivalent.
  • Familiarity with Australian National Commission in Quality and Safety Ten National Standards.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Highly effective written and verbal communication, interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
