About the Position:

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Emergency Care Specialist to join our team. The successful applicant will provide high-quality emergency care in a Tier 2 ACEM-accredited training site, contributing to education, policy development, and telehealth support for rural sites.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a diverse caseload including medical, surgical, orthopaedic, obstetric, and paediatric presentations (paediatric ~25%).
  • Participate in after-hours and weekend rosters.
  • Mentor and train junior medical officers and Emergency Medicine trainees in an innovative teaching environment.

Requirements:

The ideal candidate will hold Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Emergency Medicine (FACEM) or be within 6 months of completion. They must also possess specialist registration with the Medical Board of Australia and demonstrate a commitment to collaborative care, clinical excellence, and ongoing education.
