Emergency and Critical Care Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Emergency and Critical Care Specialist/Criticalist to join our team.
As a full-time ECC Criticalist, you will be responsible for:
- Training and supervising interns with the support of administrative staff
- Advising on critical cases and providing guidance to out-of-hours and general practice teams
- Consulting on complex cases involving the entire hospital and our network
Key responsibilities include:
Leadership and Training
Supervise and train junior colleagues to ensure the delivery of exceptional patient care
Clinical Expertise
Provide expert advice and guidance on critical cases to internal and external stakeholders
Collaboration and Communication
Work closely with a range of healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality patient care and achieve positive outcomes
Professional Development
Develop and maintain skills and knowledge in emergency and critical care through ongoing education and training
You will have access to a wide range of equipment and facilities, including dedicated ICU, multiple mechanical ventilators, ultrasound, CT, MRI, TEG, interventional radiology, and a blood bank.
Requirements
A relevant bachelor's degree or higher is required, as well as at least 3 years of employment experience as an ECC Specialist. ACVECC or ECVECC board-certification or Fellowship of the ANZCVS is highly desirable.
