Service Operations Manager Job Opportunity

We are seeking a highly experienced Service Operations Manager to lead our Executive Business Class Lounge at Melbourne International Airport.

  • Managing an executive business class lounge, responsible for catering, cleaning, and concierge services.
  • Leading a team of hospitality professionals to deliver 5-star guest experience across all lounge touch points.
  • Ensuring the smooth functional flow of our venues by effectively managing costs and implementing stock control systems.
  • Maintaining exceptional customer service and exceeding client expectations.
  • Developing and executing strategies to reduce labour turnover and build strong relationships with clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Leadership and Team Management: Lead, motivate and develop a high-performing team of hospitality professionals.
  • Cost Management: Effectively manage costs and implement stock control systems to optimize profitability.
  • Customer Experience: Deliver exceptional customer service and exceed client expectations.
  • Strategic Planning: Develop and execute strategies to reduce labour turnover and improve client relationships.
Requirements:
  • Proven track record in high-end hospitality delivery, managing bar, catering, front desk (hosts), and cleaning teams in fast-paced environments.
  • Strong analytical skills, successfully managing budgets, prioritising spend, driving profit, and identifying cost efficiencies.
  • Excellent communication and personal skills, evidence of building successful business relationships at senior executive level.
  • Strong and decisive leadership skills with ability to build effective, engaged, and motivated teams.
  • In-depth understanding of hospitality and food safety standards.
