Objective

Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Venue Manager to oversee daily operations and lead a high-performing team in providing exceptional service.

About the Role

  • The Venue Manager will be responsible for managing daily operations, ensuring smooth and efficient service delivery, leading, training and developing a high-performing team.
  • Maintain compliance with liquor licensing and other regulations, manage rosters, budgets and operational targets.
  • Oversee VIP services, events and promotional activities, ensure the venue is well-presented and maintained at all times.
  • Foster strong relationships with promoters, suppliers and key stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day operations, including staffing, customer service and inventory management.
  • Lead and develop a high-performing team by setting goals, offering feedback and coaching staff.
  • Ensure regulatory compliance, including liquor licensing, RSA and First Aid certifications.
  • Develop and manage budgets, monitor expenses and track performance metrics.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to plan and execute events, promotions and marketing initiatives.

Requirements

  • 2+ years' experience in hospitality management, preferably in nightlife.
  • Strong leadership, communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven track record in budget management and operational success.
  • Experience with POS, booking and inventory systems.
  • Victorian RSA and relevant certifications (e.g., First Aid, Food Safety).
  • Flexible availability including nights, weekends and public holidays.
