About the Role

Anyinginyi Health Aboriginal Corporation is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Administrative Support Officer to join their Parlpuru Ninji Kari – Health Services Section in Tennant Creek.

This is an exciting opportunity for a full-time Administration Support Officer to work in a dynamic and culturally responsive environment, providing administrative support to the Health Services Section.

The successful candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander clients and staff.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Providing administrative support to the Health Services Section, including reception, patient records, and correspondence.
  • Assisting with the coordination of health services, including patient travel and specialist clinics.
  • Upholding the vision, mission, and priorities of the organisation, as determined by the Board of Directors and outlined in its Strategic Plan.
  • Actively contributing to a professional and culturally safe work environment.
  • Adhering to Anyinginyi Health policies and procedures.
  • Maintaining confidentiality at all times.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of systems and processes, including work health and safety, to ensure programs and services meet professional and industry standards.

About you

To be successful in this role, you must have a strong understanding of office management principles and practices, with experience in providing administrative support in a healthcare setting.

You will also need to possess the following:

  • Essential skills and experience:
  • Respect for traditional Aboriginal Culture and the ability to communicate effectively and sensitively with Aboriginal people.
  • Be responsive to the needs of individual clients.
  • Experience and/or qualifications in office management and work.
  • Good computer skills including Word, Excel, internet and email.
  • Demonstrated ability to work as a team member and with limited supervision.
  • Understanding of Work Health and Safety, as it relates to the workplace.
  • Be in possession of or have ability to obtain OCHRE Card.
  • Understanding of Occupational Health and Safety and be in possession of a current First Aid Certificate or be willing to up-skill.
  • Current NT Drivers license.
  • All Anyinginyi Health Aboriginal Corporation employees must be Fully vaccinated against COVID-19 With a minimum of 3 COVID-19 vaccinations.
