Medicare Officer

The Medicare Officer plays a vital role in providing culturally appropriate and efficient services to clients at the Health Centre.
This position works closely with the Administration Manager to ensure continuous improvement in capturing Medicare funding for client services.
The successful candidate will maintain confidentiality and integrity of information, working as a member of a high-performing multi-disciplinary team and respecting Aboriginal values, beliefs, customs, language, and traditional practices.
Key Responsibilities- Manage billing, collecting, post-payment review, and correspondence functions of all Medicare accounts.
- Prepare Medicare claims, organize provider numbers for staff, checking and recording of Medicare reimbursements, and correcting faulty claims.
- Support the Administration Manager in operations and undertake other administrative duties as directed.
To be successful in this role, you must have demonstrated experience in Medicare administrative work.
Please note that an Ochre Card (NT Working with Children's card) obtainment is a requirement prior to commencement in this role.
