Job Overview

This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Senior Policy and Operations Lead. As a key member of our leadership team, you will play a critical role in developing, implementing, and managing policy initiatives that shape the future of Australia's migration system.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead cross-functional teams to deliver complex policy projects, ensuring timely and effective outcomes.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve operational efficiency and effectiveness across the department.
  • Provide expert advice on immigration policy and legislation, contributing to the development of informed decision-making.

Requirements
  • Be an ongoing EL1 employee in the APS.
  • Possess well-developed leadership skills, particularly in a high tempo environment.
  • Have strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Display good judgement and attention to detail in making lawful decisions.
