The Senior Safety Lead will be responsible for leading and coordinating all safety operations on a major project based in Tasmania, working closely with operational management to ensure the execution of the SHEQ strategy, policies, and procedures.

The role requires:

  • Leading audits and inspections
  • Working with operational management to execute the SHEQ strategy
  • Delivering SHEQ improvement programs and communications
  • Leading incident investigations
  • Overseeing project SHEQ performance

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • 5+ years WHS/OHS experience
  • Tertiary qualifications in Workplace Health and Safety
  • First Aid and CPR Training
  • Construction Safety Induction ('White Card')
  • Current Drivers License - 'C' Class
  • National Police Clearance
  • Demonstrated experience in managing high-performance teams
  • ICAM investigation training
  • Strong knowledge of WA WHS Legislation, Codes, and Standards
  • High-level communication and interpersonal skills

Desirable skills include drug and alcohol testing qualifications, training and assessing qualifications, experience in transmission lines and substations, and sustainability experience.
