About the Role

As a Servery Staff member at Anglicare Sydney, you will play a vital role in providing nourishing meals to our residents.

You will work as part of a team to prepare, present, and serve meals, ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene.

Our kitchen and servery team is committed to enhancing the well-being of our residents, and we are seeking dedicated individuals to join us in this mission.

About You
  • Previous experience in food service, hospitality, or aged care is preferred but not essential.
  • You will have strong attention to detail and a genuine passion for working with older people.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential, as well as the ability to work effectively in a team and independently.
  • You will understand the importance of maintaining residents' dignity and independence.
  • Alignment with Anglicare's Christian ethos and values is essential.
  • You will have knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices, or be willing to learn.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the preparation, presentation, and serving of meals to residents.
  • Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen, dining areas, and food service spaces.
  • Assist in meal setup, including setting tables and ensuring all utensils and crockery are clean.
  • Deliver food and beverages to residents in the dining room and, when necessary, to their rooms.
  • Ensure dietary requirements and preferences are met for each resident.
  • Collaborate with the broader team to provide holistic support to residents.
  • Collect, clean, and store dishes and utensils after meals.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive community atmosphere within the care facility.
  • Follow health, safety, and food hygiene standards always.
