About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and caring individual to join our kitchen and servery team as a Servery Staff member.

As a Servery Staff member, you will play a vital role in providing nourishing meals to our residents, contributing to their health and well-being.

You will work closely with our kitchen team to prepare and serve meals, ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene.

About You
  • You will have previous experience in food service, hospitality, or aged care, with a strong attention to detail and cleanliness.
  • You will have a genuine passion for working with older people and enhancing their quality of life.
  • You will have strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team and independently.
  • You will understand the importance of maintaining residents' dignity and independence.
  • You will be aligned with Anglicare's Christian ethos and values.
  • You will have knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices, or be willing to learn.

Key Responsibilities
  • You will assist in the preparation, presentation, and serving of meals to residents.
  • You will maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen, dining areas, and food service spaces.
  • You will assist in meal setup, including setting tables and ensuring all utensils and crockery are clean.
  • You will deliver food and beverages to residents in the dining room and, when necessary, to their rooms.
  • You will ensure dietary requirements and preferences are met for each resident.
  • You will collaborate with the broader team to provide holistic support to residents.
  • You will collect, clean, and store dishes and utensils after meals.
  • You will foster a positive and inclusive community atmosphere within the care facility.
  • You will follow health, safety, and food hygiene standards at all times.
