Job Opportunity

The successful candidate will oversee the safe operation and high-performance execution of our laboratory in Perth, WA.

This full-time role requires a dynamic leader to drive compliance with industry standards, ensure outstanding customer service, and foster a collaborative team culture.

Responsibilities include:

  • Overseeing all laboratory operations
  • Managing resources of staff and equipment to ensure timely test results for clients' projects
  • Implementing strategies that optimize operational effectiveness
  • Conducting testing as required
  • Engaging with current and potential new customers
  • Maintaining effective communication with management and providing timely, accurate reporting to stakeholders
  • Ensuring technicians receive adequate training and development in accordance with SGS and NATA requirements
  • Ensuring laboratories adhere to quality standards and test results and reports are issued in accordance with ISO 17025
  • Implementing and driving key lean tools (i.e. Kaizen, Kanban)

Key qualifications include:

  • An advanced diploma in laboratory techniques
  • Extensive knowledge of ISO 17025
  • Proven experience as a laboratory manager or supervisor
  • Comprehensive knowledge of and previous NATA signatory for soil AS1289 and MRWA test methods
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and drive teams
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Exceptional communication skills to effectively liaise with clients and contractors at all levels
  • A solid track record of understanding and meeting customer requirements
