Your Role as a Speech Pathologist
  • Help children achieve developmental milestones like communicating their needs and participating in everyday activities
  • Educate and involve parents, carers, and others to support the communication and language development of children
  • Support children to speak clearly and correctly so they can be understood by others
  • Treat stuttering and articulation disorders to help children speak fluently and confidently
  • Address literacy, reading, and writing difficulties in conjunction with teachers and schools
  • Teach children safe food and drink management skills

Requirements
  • A degree in Speech Pathology
  • Eligibility for SPA registration upon graduating
  • Graduated in the last 12 months or graduating in 2025
  • A full valid driver's license with third-party insurance and access to your own vehicle
  • A valid Working with Children Check, or willingness to obtain one
  • A clear current Police Check, or willingness to obtain one
  • NDIS Workers Screening Clearance, or willingness to obtain one
  • First Aid and CPR certification, or willingness to obtain one
  • Excellent communication and time management skills, and attention to detail
