Facilities Manager Job Description

This is a vital role that oversees the operational management of our professional golf shop and facilities maintenance. The right candidate will possess strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and extensive experience in retail and hospitality.

Main Responsibilities
  • Manage day-to-day operations, including in-store and online retail channels, to ensure seamless customer service and high sales volumes.
  • Supervise and train staff to guarantee smooth coordination of retail and facilities functions, ensuring exceptional customer experiences.
  • Oversee stock management, select product ranges, and manage vendor relationships to optimize business efficiency and minimize costs.
  • Develop and monitor budgets, conduct financial forecasting, and implement cost-effective practices across both retail and facility areas to drive business growth.
  • Maintain cleanliness, presentation, and overall functionality of club facilities to meet customer expectations.
  • Manage online retail shop, including website updates, stock control, and customer orders to enhance the shopping experience.
  • Maintain compliance with workplace health and safety standards to protect employees and customers.
  • Lead marketing efforts and promote retail offerings through social media and newsletters to increase brand awareness.
  • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction by providing exceptional service and resolving any issues promptly.
Key Requirements
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in a similar role, preferably in retail or hospitality, with a proven track record of success.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage retail and operational aspects of a business, with expertise in stock control, budgeting, and customer service management.
  • Strong leadership skills and experience managing staff, with a focus on team development and employee engagement.
  • Competence in digital marketing tools and online retail platforms to drive sales and growth.
  • Familiarity with workplace safety and facility operations to ensure a safe working environment.
