About This RoleAs a seasoned professional in the food and beverage industry, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of daily operations, ensuring exceptional service standards, and upholding hotel policies and procedures.
This pivotal role may involve forecasting rosters, managing payroll costs, and achieving profit targets while maintaining a diverse team of individuals. Effective people management skills are essential, including recruitment, training, and implementation of satisfactory practices.
Key Responsibilities- Attend to guest needs and desires promptly.
- Coordinate supervision of food and beverage outlets as scheduled.
- Ensure efficient interaction between departments within the hotel at all levels.
- Maintain presentation of neat, clean, and functionally operating departments; address maintenance and cleaning issues immediately.
- Provide proper training for all food and beverage team members to ensure consistent and professional services.
- Ensure public areas, store rooms, and offices are kept clean and organized at all times.
- Team members must always be professionally presented with correct grooming, uniforms, and name badges worn at all times.
- Participate in planning and conducting theoretical and on-the-job training.
- Comply with and ensure adherence to all hotel policies & procedures.
- Maintain stock levels in all areas to appropriate par levels.
- Have thorough knowledge of and practice established Hotel occupational health and safety guidelines (OH&S).
- Maintain effective reservations system for table bookings.
- Ensure cashiering policies and procedures are followed.
- Ensure protection and maintenance of all operating equipment in conjunction with the maintenance manager.
- Implement controls to deter cash or stock losses.
- Assist other departments or outlets when required.
- Attend all scheduled meetings.
- Perform any other duties directed by senior Hotel management.
- Ensure security of the area, especially after hours, by securing doors and fridges and locking away items prior to closing.
- Audit daily revenue charges and covers.
- Report all issues accurately.
- Weekly requisition of stock to maintain par levels and assist with monthly stock counting for ME.
- Establish open communication channels with other F&B personnel to provide solid teamwork within the F&B department.
