Job Role OverviewThe Claims Revenue Officer ensures efficient billing and supports debt recovery processes, maintaining timely revenue flow across the District. They work closely with various stakeholders to ensure seamless interactions and achieve desired outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:- Deliver accurate and timely billing services by analysing financial data and identifying areas for improvement.
- Follow up on lodged claims for debt recovery, ensuring prompt communication with clients and effective resolution of issues.
- Support billing queries across the district by providing clear guidance and resolving technical problems.
- Assist with revenue-related follow-up actions, leveraging technology to streamline processes and enhance productivity.
- Contribute to consistent financial processes by monitoring trends, implementing best practices, and promoting transparency throughout the organisation.
Selection Criteria:
- Understanding of Medicare Benefits Scheme (MBS), Revenue, private health insurance & other billing arrangements, demonstrating expertise in navigating complex regulatory frameworks.
- Experience in utilising PowerBilling Revenue Collection (PBRC), Revenue Portal, i.PM (Patient Administration System), Microsoft Office applications, Content Management (HPECM) and Powerchart, showcasing proficiency in leveraging technology to drive business results.
- Demonstrated ability to plan, organise, prioritise and manage multiple tasks, considering the impact on others to achieve strategic objectives.
- Good interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills with people from a range of professional and social backgrounds, fostering strong relationships and driving collaborative outcomes.
- Demonstrated high level of analytical skills and attention to detail to ensure the integrity, reliability, accuracy of data and data systems, leading to informed decision-making and improved organisational performance.
- Capacity to work independently and as an effective team member, facilitating and supporting colleagues to achieve required outcomes and driving a culture of excellence.
- Demonstrated exceptional customer service and conflict resolution skills, consistently delivering positive experiences and resolving disputes efficiently.
