Technical Operations Supervisor

This role is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our concrete and quarry materials laboratory. As a Technical Operations Supervisor, you will be required to supervise and mentor lab technicians and quality control staff.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of aggregate and concrete testing procedures and standards. Prior experience supervising or leading a small technical or laboratory team is also necessary.

You will be responsible for ensuring compliance with relevant Australian Standards (e.g. AS 1012, AS 1141) and internal QA/QC protocols. This includes coordinating sampling, testing, and reporting for aggregates, concrete, and other raw materials.

Additionally, you will conduct investigations into non-conforming products and provide technical support to operational teams. Maintaining and calibrating laboratory equipment to ensure test accuracy is also crucial.

As a Technical Operations Supervisor, you will analyze and report on test results, identifying trends and recommending improvements. Liaising with operations, technical, and sales teams to support product development and customer requirements is also an essential part of this role.

  • Minimum 3–5 years' experience in a laboratory environment within the concrete or quarrying industry
  • Strong understanding of aggregate and concrete testing procedures and standards
  • Prior experience supervising or leading a small technical or laboratory team
