Job Description

The role of General Manager, Service Delivery is a pivotal position within the Housing and Homelessness Services sector. As a senior leader, you will be responsible for driving the transformation of frontline housing and homelessness service delivery across Queensland.

This involves leading strategic initiatives to ensure continuous improvement and consistency across all service centers. A key focus will be on developing tailored local solutions that empower Housing Service Centres and registered housing providers to innovate and deliver effective services.

As a member of the Housing and Homelessness Services leadership team, you will work collaboratively to drive an operating approach and culture that supports the transformation of the housing service system. This transformation will deliver responsive, proactive services that integrate all elements of housing strategy, policy, program design, development, and delivery.

Key responsibilities include leading the end-to-end transformation of the service delivery system, overseeing operational partnerships and contracts with registered housing and homelessness assistance providers, and shaping Housing Service Centre capability to deliver a sustainable and person-centred operating model.

  • A proven track record as an agent of change in challenging environments

Strong partnerships with registered housing service providers and the community sector are essential to achieving the objectives of the Housing Strategy. Facilitating and coordinating the transition, merger, or exit of funded housing providers requires strong project management skills and a commitment to ensuring continuity of service delivery.
