Health Promotion Officer Role
- Work collaboratively with public health teams to develop and deliver community-based health education, promotion, and prevention activities.
- Connect and engage with communities to share key health information and encourage healthy choices.
- Support the development of existing health promotion materials for use in programs.
- Distribute health information and program materials, and support community members to participate in public health activities.
- Build and maintain relationships with health services, community organisations, and community members.
- Promote Community Controlled Health Services and engage community members in health promoting screening initiatives and immunisations.
- Current C Class Drivers Licence (QLD)
- Current Criminal History Check
- Valid Blue Card
- Demonstrated experience working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and/or communities.
Desirable Qualifications:
- Qualification in Health Promotion, Public Health or other relevant qualification.
