About the Role

The Department of Government Services is seeking a highly skilled DevSecOps Engineer to join their team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing and maintaining the branch's SOAR platform to enhance automation and cyber defences of the Victorian Government.

  • Designing and implementing custom workflows, integrations and automation scripts to streamline incident response processes.
  • Analysing and resolving technical issues, collaborating with cybersecurity teams to ensure the platform meets stakeholder needs.

About You

  • Demonstrated experience building solutions using SOAR technologies, cloud infrastructure and connecting different platforms using APIs and other integrations.
  • Ability to translate technical concepts into 'plain English' to assist various stakeholders and decision-making requirements.
  • Technical understanding of ICT networks and cyber threats.
  • CAPABILITY IN USING ATLASIAN SUITE OF TOOLS (JIRA, CONFLUENCE) TO DOCUMENT USE CASES, TICKETS, ISSUES OR SERVICE MANAGEMENT.

Mandatory Requirements

  • The successful applicant will be required to attain and maintain a Negative Vetting 2 Security Clearance.

Salary: $120,000 - $180,000 per year.
