Job Overview:

This role involves bridging the gap between development and operations by automating and streamlining our software delivery process. You will work closely with developers, operations staff, and other stakeholders to ensure the smooth and efficient deployment of our applications and infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Simplify and automate the software development lifecycle to enhance productivity and reduce time to market.
  • Design, implement, and manage CI/CD pipelines to ensure efficient and reliable software delivery.
  • Develop and maintain monitoring and incident management systems to ensure high system reliability and quick resolution of issues.
  • Integrate security best practices into DevOps processes to safeguard data and maintain compliance.
  • Collaborate with development and operations teams to improve communication, efficiency, and overall project success.
  • Optimize infrastructure performance and scalability to support the growing demands of our applications.
  • Manage and optimize cloud resources to ensure cost-effective usage and performance.

About You:

  • Extensive experience in automation and DevOps engineering.
  • Proven experience designing, building, and managing CI/CD pipelines.
  • Experience with AWS infrastructure automation.
  • Proficient in PowerShell and relevant scripting languages for automation.
  • Experience working with AWS services like RDS (SQL Server & PostgreSQL), EC2, S3, CloudFront, WAF, SQS, EventBridge, MemoryDB for Redis etc.
  • In-depth familiarity with PowerShell and .NET Core/Framework scripting/coding for AWS.
  • Experience developing and integrating web applications with version control systems (Git, Azure DevOps)
  • Experience deploying to windows environments (IIS and Windows Services)
  • Strong knowledge of Azure DevOps
  • Exposure to DevSecOps (a valuable plus)
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Azure DevOps Engineer Expert) are a plus.
  • Proficiency with tools and technologies like Terraform, CloudFormation and the AWS CLI.
  • Willingness to proactively identify opportunities for process and system improvement.
  • Exceptional organizational skills, with the ability to manage and prioritize various responsibilities and consistently meet deadlines; flexibility to effectively deal with unexpected assignments, changes to workload or design revisions mid-project based on management priorities or client requests.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, especially with stakeholders who often have limited technical knowledge.
  • Ability to work with others, as well as independently and autonomously with minimal supervision.
