Nutrition Specialist Opportunity

We are seeking a qualified Nutrition Specialist to provide nutrition and dietetic services in a part-time, fixed-term basis.

The successful candidate will be responsible for enhancing health outcomes by providing various treatment, preventative, early intervention, and health promotion activities with a nutritional health focus.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality nutrition service to clients of all ages, following policies, procedures, and guidelines for best practice.
  • Plan care plans that reflect client needs, aiming to promote independence and enhanced quality of life.
  • Conduct nutritional assessments, care, and interventions as required.
  • Advocate for clients in obtaining funding or dealing with health agencies when necessary.
  • Maintain professional conduct and standards through training, networks, and memberships.

Requirements:

  • Tertiary qualification in Nutrition Science.
  • Eligibility for Membership of the Australian Society of Nutrition Scientists.
  • Accredited Practicing Nutrition Scientist Status.
  • Experience and skills in clinical assessment procedures, treatments, and activities, including general consults, chronic disease management, group planning, facilitation, and public speaking.
