VMware Infrastructure Professional

We are seeking a highly skilled VMware Infrastructure Professional to support and optimize our virtual infrastructure.

This role is critical for ensuring the continuity of our business operations through effective management of VMware environments.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, implement, and manage VMware vSphere environments with high availability, scalability, and performance.
  • Configure and maintain VMware clusters, resource pools, and storage configurations.
  • Conduct thorough analysis and optimization of system performance, capacity planning, and troubleshooting of complex issues.
  • Manage the entire lifecycle of virtual machines including provisioning, snapshots, templates, cloning, and deletion.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot infrastructure using advanced tools such as vRealize, SolarWinds, or similar solutions.
  • Integrate VMware platforms with SAN/NAS storage and network configurations.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive disaster recovery and backup strategies.
  • Ensure all systems meet regulatory compliance standards and company policies.
  • Provide expert consulting and support services to internal IT stakeholders on VMware infrastructure.

Requirements:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • At least 3 years' hands-on experience managing VMware infrastructure with expertise in vSphere, vSAN, and cloud solutions.
  • Proficiency in Windows Server, Linux, Active Directory, and core networking concepts.
  • Strong background in scripting languages such as PowerShell or Python for automation tasks.
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills.
  • Hold a VMware Certified Professional (VCP-DCV) certification or higher.
  • ITIL Foundation or Microsoft certifications such as MCSE would be advantageous.
