Senior Program Officer - Procurement and Grants Specialist
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Program Officer to join our dedicated team at Community Recovery. This is an exciting opportunity for a talented individual to support the delivery of procurement and grant management processes in human and social services.
The Long-Term Recovery and Resilience team (LTRR) plays a vital role in establishing and managing long-term recovery and resilience programs to support communities affected by disaster events. Our team provides meaningful help and financial support to communities through:
- Practical information;
- Referral to support services;
- Distribution and coordination of financial assistance through procurement and grants processing;
- Developing and funding projects in disaster-affected communities.
Key Responsibilities:
Key Responsibilities- Conduct robust market analysis and planning to inform commissioning and investment decisions.
- Establish and ensure governance procedures for procurement negotiation requirements, including undertaking a secretariat role for assessment panels.
- Develop procurement and grant documentation, ensuring high-level governance practices and compliance with legislation, investment specifications, and departmental policies and procedures.
- Experience in procurement and grant management processes with financial acumen.
- Demonstrated communication and negotiation skills; critical analysis and problem-solving abilities with the capacity to escalate issues.
- Experience in end-to-end contract management and the establishment of contract management plans (preferably for human and social service contracts).
- Ability to rapidly acquire knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, procedures, and frameworks related to contract management, procurement, and grants administration.
- Experience with procurement and grant management systems.
