Financial Counsellor Role

We are seeking a dedicated professional to join our team as a Financial Counsellor. The ideal candidate will have a passion for social justice and be committed to making a tangible difference in the lives of vulnerable individuals.

This is an excellent opportunity to work with a reputable organization that provides invaluable telephone advice and representation assistance through the National Debt Helpline and Webchat.

Our organization is a trusted voice for consumers navigating the complexities of financial services, including credit, banking, insurance, and debt. Based in Surry Hills, our team works on the frontlines, providing crucial advice and representation to consumers across Australia.

Your Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality financial counselling casework to disadvantaged clients and clients from diverse backgrounds.
  • Be accredited or working towards accreditation as a financial counsellor with FCAN.
  • Hold a current Working with Children's Check.
  • Demonstrate exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Show commitment to cultural competence and safety.
