About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Youth Justice Advocate to join our team. As a key member of the Youth Justice Service, you will work in partnership with other services to help children thrive and stay safe in Sefton.
- Support vulnerable children and families
- Prevent young people from entering the criminal justice system
- Help children learn, make positive changes, and build a more promising future
Key Responsibilities:
- Work collaboratively as part of the Youth Justice Service team
- Support service partners to prevent children from entering the criminal justice system
- Help children learn, make positive changes, and build a more promising future
- Safeguard children's welfare and protect the public
- Manage risk and vulnerability effectively
Requirements:
- DIPSW or equivalent qualification in Social Work
- Social Work England registration
- Enhanced and in-date DBS certificate
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Able to make informed decisions based on available information
- Ability to work independently and within/contribute to a team/multi-agency set ups
- Possess knowledge of service needs and community dynamics
- Competent IT skills and ability to use relevant software
