We are seeking a skilled and empathetic individual to join our team as an Employment Support Professional. As a key member of our support services, you will play a vital role in helping people with disabilities achieve their employment goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with clients to understand their employment aspirations and develop personalized plans to support their achievement.
- Work closely with external stakeholders, including host employers, families, carers, and advocates, to ensure seamless support for our clients.
- Conduct regular progress checks and provide coaching and mentoring to help clients overcome challenges and reach their full potential.
- Develop and implement effective strategies to promote independence and self-sufficiency among our clients.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay up-to-date with best practices and industry trends.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Proven experience working with people with disabilities in an employment setting or direct support environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and colleagues.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team, providing and receiving support as needed.
- Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills, with a focus on finding creative solutions that meet the needs of all parties involved.
- Proficiency in using current Microsoft Office programs, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Desirable Qualifications:
- Certification in Individual Support (Disability) and previous case management experience will be highly regarded.
- First aid and CPR certification required.
- Working with Children Check (Blue Card) clearance.
- NDIS clearance.
- National Police Check clearance.
- Mental Health First Aid certification will be highly regarded.
