Contract Management Specialist

We are seeking a Contract Management Specialist to provide expert contract administration services for high-performing contracted services.

The successful candidate will develop procurement strategies, establish contracts, and negotiate on behalf of the work area. They will exercise decision-making, judgment, and provide expert advice to support Council's strategic objectives.

This role requires strong communication skills, including advising stakeholders and preparing reports for senior management. The ideal candidate will have experience in managing contracts, tertiary qualifications, and at least 8 years of relevant experience in procurement and contracts administration.

A current C Class Licence is required, along with expert knowledge of procurement and contract management strategies, contract law, workplace legislation, and contractual risks.

  • You will have experience in managing contracts, preferably within a local government or public sector environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and make informed decisions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
