OverviewThe Assistant Store Manager role is an essential part of the store leadership team, impacting team member and guest experience every day. The Assistant Store Manager is responsible for leading and coaching team members, holding the team accountable to results, and ensuring an outstanding guest experience in the store. The role also includes administrative and operations activities, including floor management and scheduling.
Core Responsibilities- Leadership and People Management: Create and foster a respectful and inclusive team environment; support the Store Manager in building a strong and diverse team; provide feedback, coaching, mentoring, and career path guidance; support recruiting, onboarding, and performance management; plan and prepare team member schedules with consideration of labour requirements and budget.
- Working With Others: Establish productive relationships with team members and collaborate to ensure an optimal guest experience.
- Guest Experience: Lead by example to ensure a great guest experience, assess guest needs, provide product education, support in-store transactions and omnichannel programs, and address guest feedback or escalations.
- Operations: Implement the Store Manager's vision, review business data and metrics to inform planning, manage budgets and labor hours, provide salesfloor leadership, open/close the store, and adhere to safety policies.
- Budget and People Management: Accountable for delegated aspects of the budget or labor hours; team lead role, indirectly responsible for a subset of store employees during shifts.

- Eligibility: Legally eligible to work in the jurisdiction of the store you are assigned to
- Availability: Willing to work a flexible schedule
- Other Willingness: Able to work as part of a team and independently; able to move through a store to assist guests and complete tasks
- Experience: Leadership or people management experience
- Job Assets (nice to have): High School diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree or equivalent; retail or sales management experience
