Overview

Civil Engineer | Project Delivery – permanent full-time role based in Maroochydore, Queensland. You will manage the administration of civil infrastructure construction contracts (acting as the client's representative) on a large subdivision project. You will resolve design constraints prior to works, coordinate projects, administer construction contracts, interface with multiple disciplines, and deliver projects within a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities
  • Construction contract administration, ensuring works are delivered in accordance with the relevant contract requirements.
  • Coordinate with internal design teams to resolve design-related issues impacting construction delivery.
  • Collaborate with the Principal Construction Contractor and sub-contractors on site to ensure works meet contract requirements.
  • Prepare technical reports and specifications; evaluate and assess contractor claims and variations.
  • Provide technical expertise to clients and support projects; manage projects including scheduling and budget preparation.
  • Coordinate between disciplines on multidisciplinary projects.
  • Conduct site inspections and coordinate with relevant authorities to meet stakeholder quality and handover requirements during delivery.
  • Contribute to the development of Stantec's knowledge and skills in civil engineering (planning, design, construction).
  • Maintain and develop trusted relationships with key clients; assist in securing and delivering projects through business development and client relationship management.
What You Will Bring To The Team
  • Bachelor of Civil Engineering with demonstrated delivery experience in subdivisions, roads, stormwater, or sewer projects.
  • Experience overseeing contract administration for civil engineering projects.
  • Understanding of current civil engineering technologies, design standards, and construction practices.
  • Project management skills and well-developed written and verbal communication, including report writing.
