Job Description

This role involves developing design concepts and carrying them through to detailed construction documentation under the direction of a Senior Project Manager or Project Manager.

Key Responsibilities
  • Developing and maintaining thorough knowledge of building systems, construction assemblies, and architectural materials.
  • Managing multiple design projects, meeting deadlines, and communicating with team members, clients, and consultants.
  • Creating compelling graphic presentations and adhering to established drafting, graphic, and file management standards.
  • Participating in construction administration, attending and documenting project meetings, and performing detailed code reviews early in the design process.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in architecture from an accredited program meeting NCARB criteria.
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in commercial, residential, or senior living projects.
  • Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, and Photoshop.
Preferred Skills
  • Experience supporting construction administration efforts.
  • Familiarity with accessibility standards, building codes, sustainable design criteria, and CSI standards.
  • Strong communication and organizational abilities.

The Project Designer is responsible for developing design concepts and carrying them through to detailed construction documentation. This role involves direct communication with clients and consultants, attending and documenting project meetings, and participating in construction administration.

This is a mid-senior level position requiring a solid understanding of architectural materials and products, as well as proficiency in industry-standard software such as Revit, AutoCAD, and Photoshop.
