Job Description

We are seeking a senior design professional to lead the design and delivery of major commercial projects. As Design Manager, you will play a critical role in driving a collaborative culture across all stakeholders.

The ideal candidate will have proven experience as a Design Manager or Senior Design Manager on commercial building projects, with a solid understanding of construction methodology and statutory/regulatory requirements.

Key responsibilities include managing the design process across multiple complex projects, coordinating and managing design consultants, and acting as the key liaison between client, consultants, and internal project teams.

As a seasoned professional, you will be able to identify design risks, provide technical advice, and offer innovative, cost-effective solutions.

Furthermore, you will work closely with estimating, delivery, and site teams to align design with construction methodology and program.

Requirements
  • Proven experience as a Design Manager or Senior Design Manager on commercial building projects (health, education, institutional, mixed-use, or similar).
  • A solid understanding of construction methodology and D&C contracts.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • The ability to lead, mentor, and inspire others.
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in construction, architecture, engineering, or similar.
