Job Title: Dental Assistant

Description:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Dental Assistant to provide high-quality patient care and support our clinicians in the provision of oral health services.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will have strong communication skills, be able to work effectively in a team environment, and possess a Certificate III in Dental Assisting or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide administrative and reception duties, including filing, maintaining electronic patient databases, appointment scheduling, wait list management, and maintenance of stock and ordering.
  • Assist dental clinicians in the provision of oral health services to patients.
  • Undertake infection control, instrument reprocessing, and dental assisting tasks.
  • Support the delivery of oral health promotion activities.

Requirements:

  • Certificate III in Dental Assisting or equivalent experience.
  • Dental Assisting Certificate IV required for appointment at Grade 2.
  • Highly effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Demonstrated experience in infection control, instrument reprocessing, and dental assisting.
  • Effective computer skills for communication and use of dental patient administration and management systems.
