Dental Care Specialist

The Far West Local Health District is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Oral Health Services Assistant to support dental clinicians in providing oral health services to patients. This rewarding opportunity allows you to make a real difference in the lives of our community members.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist dental clinicians in delivering high-quality oral health services to patients.
- Contribute to the administrative and reception duties, including maintaining electronic patient databases, appointment scheduling, and stock management.
- Collaborate with dental professionals to develop and implement effective oral health promotion strategies.
Requirements:
- Hold a Certificate III in Dental Assisting or possess equivalent work experience.
- Be committed to pursuing a Certificate IV in Dental Assisting for Grade 2 appointments.
- Demonstrate exceptional communication skills and ability to build strong relationships with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
- Exhibit a strong understanding of infection control principles and instrument reprocessing procedures.
- Possess problem-solving skills, computer literacy, and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Hold a Class C driver's licence and be willing to travel for work purposes.
