Job Title: Director of Strategic Growth and Development

The successful candidate will play a critical role in driving the company's strategic growth agenda. Key responsibilities include developing, appraising and executing growth opportunities through leading acquisitions, developments, asset sales, project financing and venture investments.

  1. Storage Strategy: Work closely with the Executive Leadership Team to develop storage strategy and implement solutions to meet utility scale hybrid and standalone storage projects.
  2. Regional Market Strategy: Lead regional market strategy formulation and implementation for stand-alone and hybrid storage.
  3. Revenue Optimisation: Contribute to analytical tool development and optimisation of storage related revenues.
  4. Site Selection: Inform site selection and greenfield development within select regional markets.
  5. Project Development: Support project development teams in the advancement of hybrid and standalone storage projects.
  6. Valuation Modelling: Oversee creation and refinement of valuation models for acquisitions, divestments and new business initiatives.
  7. Due Diligence: Plan and execute due diligence on valuation and acquisition of storage/solar assets.
  8. Transaction Negotiation: Negotiate a diverse range of transactions and associated documentation.
  9. Presentation and Reporting: Prepare management and board papers and presentations covering acquisitions, divestments and new business initiatives.
  10. Specific Projects: Undertake specific projects to support the Executive Leadership Team.
  11. Thought Leadership: Deliver thought leadership and share collective knowledge and experience through structured workshops.

The ideal candidate will have relevant tertiary qualifications, 5+ years' experience in storage project development and storage/renewables strategy, and strong commercial experience in transaction execution, valuation and due diligence. They will also have excellent financial modelling and valuation skills, credibility and confidence to interact effectively with senior people inside and outside the organisation.
