Chief Medical Officer Position

This is a senior clinical leadership role that will play a vital part in shaping the future of telehealth and improving patient care. The successful candidate will be responsible for evaluating policies and quality standards to ensure high-quality patient experience and minimizing clinical harm.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience as a practising doctor, with a strong network of connections within the GP community. They will also have business experience as a practice owner or working as a CMO/Clinical Lead, and will be proficient in using Best Practice, HotDoc, Telehealth, and AI Scribe solutions.

The Chief Medical Officer will serve as a trusted Clinical Advisor, advocating for patients and translating perceived clinical or medico-legal risk to inform product decisions. This is a part-time role (up to 2 days/week) that requires strong clinical governance, quality standards, and community engagement skills.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate policies and quality standards to ensure high-quality patient experience and minimize clinical harm
  • Cultivate strong partnerships with key stakeholders and earn trust and recognition for leadership, collaboration, and impact
  • Develop an After Hours Telehealth service that delivers high-quality care and connects patients back into their regular provider
  • Serve as a trusted Clinical Advisor, advocating for patients and translating perceived clinical or medico-legal risk to inform product decisions
Requirements:
  • 10+ years experience as a practising doctor
  • 5+ years as a GP with current practising license
  • Business experience as practice owner or working as CMO/Clinical Lead
  • Extensive experience with Best Practice, HotDoc, Telehealth, and AI Scribe solutions
  • Strong established network of connections within the GP community
  • Proven experience preparing and delivering presentations at industry conferences and events
