Training Role

This role provides instruction and support for the Spartan Pilot Initial Qualification Course and secondary upgrade courses.

The instructor will be based at RAAF Base Amberley in Queensland.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct mission briefs and debriefs as necessary
  • Deliver simulator instruction to C-27J pilot students
  • Collaborate with maintenance teams to report identified issues
  • Contribute to the development of training materials that support syllabus delivery
Required Expertise
  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a Military Qualified Flying Instructor or Operational Flying Instructor in an aircrew training environment
  • At least 1000 command hours on multi-engine, multi-crew, and tactical transport aircraft (C-27J, C-130J, or similar)
  • Experience as a flight simulator instructor is highly valued
  • A Cert IV in Workplace Training & Assessment or equivalent experience is required
