About The Role
- Delivering best practice comprehensive primary health care, in areas such as Men’s & Women’s Health, Mental Health, Sexual Health, Rehabilitation, and Aviation Medicine
- Looking after the health care needs of aircrew, assessing fitness to fly and conducting aviation medical checks with the use of hyperbaric chambers (Aviation Medicine training provided)
- Referring patients to other Medical Specialists and Allied Health services, and responding to medical emergencies as required
- Providing medical advice to Unit Commanders and Health Centre Managers, and updating/maintaining patient records on the online health platform

About The Location

Based in the Ipswich area (approx. 45 mins drive from Brisbane), RAAF Amberley is Defence's largest operational air base, with over 5,000 staff members working across training, contingency response, communications and other areas. Staffed with a multidisciplinary team, the Amberley Health Centre provides a range of services including Medical, Dental, Physiotherapy, Psychology, Nursing and Pharmacy, and is open Mondays-Thursdays from 0730-1630 hrs and 0730-1430 hrs on Fridays.

About You
- FRACGP/FACRRM or Vocational Registration + full AHPRA registration as a Medical Practitioner
- Minimum 2 years post-qualification experience as a GP in a private practice/outpatient setting
- Current CPR Certificate and evidence of ongoing participation in Continuous Professional Development activities
- Self-starter who is able to work autonomously and as part of a team, with strong organisational and prioritisation, along with superior communication, relationship and influencing skills

About The Benefits
- Full/part time with choice of working days/hours: Mon-Thurs 0730-1630 hrs and/or Fri 0730-1430 hrs / No evenings, nights, weekends or on-call requirements
