Job Title: Dispatch Stores Person

Main responsibilities include:

  • Packing and processing: verify shipment details and generate commercial invoices for customers/accounts.
  • Logistics and delivery: communicate on job status, manage inventory, and ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Liaise with Order Management, Despatch/Export Manager, and accounts for clearance of orders prior to shipping.
  • Confirm shipment dates, quantities, and values and meet key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Generate packing lists, DG declarations, security declarations, commercial invoices, and despatch checklists that are clear and concise for shipping.

The role involves coordinating with logistics teams for outbound shipments, liaising with freight companies to ensure all orders are packed on time, and monitoring and controlling inventory stock in the Despatch area. Additionally, the person will use a forklift to load/unload trucks and move stock around the warehouse.

The ideal candidate will possess a forklift ticket and dangerous goods certification. Previous experience in a dispatch and/or export role is essential, along with strong computer skills. A customer service focus, clear communication, and ability to assist and support others are also required.
