D'Orsogna Ltd is seeking an experienced hands-on Despatch/Logistics Manager to manage our warehousing and logistics team.

Located at our head office in Palmyra, Western Australia

This position will report to the Planning/Logistics Manager and will support the direct manager by:

  1. Managing logistical and warehouse requirements
  2. Handling day-to-day activities in the department, including occupational safety & health, personnel, equipment, materials, quality, productivity, cost management, and hygiene
  3. Managing transport and storage services, including delivery drivers and the despatch/logistics team, to ensure timely and accurate order delivery
  4. Developing and implementing efficient warehouse systems
  5. Assisting with vehicle management and controlling freight costs (inward and outward)
  6. Coordinating stock storage and rotation across various sites nationally, following FIFO principles
  7. Ensuring stock accuracy and monitoring UBDs in warehouse locations
  8. Daily allocation and coordination of work among warehouse staff
  9. Coordinating daily deliveries to meet supply demand KPIs cost-effectively

Educational and experience requirements

  • Minimum 5 years experience in a just-in-time distribution environment
  • OH&S & Quality Assurance training
  • Warehousing or logistics certification (highly desirable)
  • HR and forklift licenses (desirable)
  • Must be a permanent resident with full work rights
