Family Support Program Leader

We have an exciting opportunity for a dedicated and experienced professional to lead our Family Connect & Support (FCS) program in East Maitland. This innovative program is funded by the NSW Government and aims to help vulnerable children, young people, and families connect with local support services.

As the FCS program leader, you will be responsible for managing a team of social workers and case workers who provide assessments, advice, and referrals to at-risk families. You will draw on your expertise in Child Protection and Family Support to ensure that services are delivered effectively, improving family functioning and child wellbeing.

The ideal candidate will have a degree qualification in Social Work, Psychology, or Community Development related discipline and:

  • A minimum of 2-3 years' experience building and maintaining an engaged, high-performing team and developing their capability;
  • Experience managing and leading programs in the Community Services sector;
  • A passion for continuous improvement and implementing industry best practice into service delivery;
  • Flexible and collaborative approach, with strong skills and experience in assessing, identifying, and addressing child protection issues and client vulnerabilities.
