Project Coordinator Role

The primary function of a Project Coordinator involves overseeing the scheduling process across multiple construction projects.

  • Main Responsibilities:
  • Create detailed project schedules using specialized software tools such as Primavera P6 or MS Project.
  • Develop tender programs outlining key milestones, timelines, and potential risks.
  • Monitor project progress against established targets through regular site checks and performance reports.
  • Support claims for delay or extension of time.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to validate project timelines and maintain on-time delivery.
  • Analyse project data to identify trends and recommend improvements in planning efficiency.
Key Skills and Qualifications:
  • Degree-qualified in construction management or a related field.
  • At least 4 years' experience in project coordination or project controls within the construction sector.
  • Strong technical knowledge of scheduling, critical path logic, and programme analysis.
  • Familiarity with Primavera P6 or other project management software.
  • Good understanding of project cost management processes.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
