Our clients include SA Water, Water Corporation, Sydney Water and SEQ Water.Our Opportunity:Due to exciting growth, we are seeking an experienced Senior Scheduler to join the team at GO.
Reporting to the National Operations Manager your role will ensure the accuracy, compliance, technical quality, standardisation and ongoing maintenance of project schedules, project reports and resource profiles, adhering to relevant planning standards and compliance requirements throughout the Business.As the Senior Scheduler, you will operate as an expert advisor on the effects of schedule changes, support and guide Project Managers and Schedulers to develop and maintain project schedules.
Your role will ensure that the Business scheduling practices are consistent throughout and are assessed to permit continuous improvement initiatives and realisation of opportunity.More specifically you will:Ensure the accuracy and ongoing maintenance of project schedules adhering to planning standards and compliance requirementsBuild and maintain productive partnerships with all key stakeholders to ensure schedule outputs are reliable and used effectively to achieve objectivesMonitor schedule changes and impacts,Maintain schedule baselines and adhere to change control requirements, you will establish effective monitoring, forecasting, and reporting processesAct as an expert advisor on the effects of schedule changes, you will support and guide project schedulers to develop and maintain the master scheduleEnsure effective communication and coordination, developing and maintaining cross-functional relationships to achieve business goalsAssist with variance analysis, time impact analysis and evaluation of construction schedule architectureSupport the schedule review meetings with the stakeholders and revise the schedules accordinglyTo be successful in this role you will have:Advanced P6 Primavera experience - preferably formally recognized training such as Oracle "P6 advanced"Advanced MS Project experienceFamiliarity with construction drawings, specifications and construction contracting methodsExtensive knowledge of Earned Value Management (EVM)Suitable experience as a scheduler / Project Controls operating within heavy industries and industrial sectors - preferably within a Principal Contractor organizationStrong influencing and negotiating skills coupled with a desire to champion change across the businessHigh attention to detail and problem resolution skillsAn affinity for our Guiding Principles of Care, Integrity, Passion, Respect and FutureKnowledge of planning and scheduling concepts and principles including effects on financial performanceIn return for your skills and experience, we offer you supportive colleagues and inspiring leadership; training and development opportunities; meaningful and interesting work; amazing employee benefits as laid out below, all within a great culture and work environment.Our amazing benefits include:On-site lunches provided dailyFlexible working arrangementsAdditional annual leave for service milestones and 15 days personal leaveExcellent employee referral bonusRegular celebrations of successCompany funded wellbeing programPaid parental leaveFortnightly payAt Guidera O'Connor we respect and value a diverse, inclusive, and belonging workforce.
