About the Role

The Parliament of Tasmania is seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to fill the position of Manager Broadcast and Digital Services. This role is responsible for managing the Parliament's Broadcast and Digital audio systems, ensuring the continuous operation of all ICT, audio, security, and broadcast services.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Provide exceptional support to a diverse range of people in a respectful and flexible manner.
  2. Utilize high-level interpersonal skills to work autonomously and as part of a team.
  3. Exercise excellent time management skills, prioritizing, planning, and organizing work to ensure delivery to deadlines.
  4. Apply sound knowledge of desktop computer hardware and software products to deliver desktop support and software installation.
  5. Operate, maintain, and support television broadcast equipment and associated hardware and software, web streaming infrastructure, and video editing.
  6. Rapidly identify and solve problems in a networked computing environment, considering established technology, work methods, policies, and procedures.

  • Proven ability to provide great support to a diverse range of people.
  • Demonstrated high-level interpersonal skills and the capacity to work autonomously and as part of a team.
  • Excellent time management skills, including prioritizing, planning, and organizing work.
  • Sound knowledge of desktop computer hardware and software products.
  • Demonstrated ability in the operations, maintenance, and support of television broadcast equipment and associated hardware and software.
  • Demonstrated ability to rapidly identify and solve problems in a networked computing environment.
