The RoleWe are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Strategy and Architecture to join our team. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to align digital initiatives with business objectives, designing and governing the digital technology landscape, and providing governance and oversight for ICT programs and projects.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and articulate Digital's strategic objectives, priorities, and initiatives in alignment with the Commission's goals and Australian Government mandates.
- Lead the development and implementation of strategic plans and roadmaps to guide the evolution of the Commission's technology infrastructure and capabilities.
- Establish and maintain robust governance frameworks and processes to ensure alignment between technology investments and business needs.
- Provide leadership and oversight in the evaluation, selection, and prioritization of technology investments and projects.
- Lead the development and maintenance of enterprise architecture frameworks, models, and artefacts to guide the design, implementation, and evolution of the Commission's digital infrastructure.
- Extensive experience (typically 7+ years) in strategic planning, enterprise architecture, and technology governance within large, complex organizations, preferably in the public sector.
- Demonstrated expertise in developing and implementing digital and ICT strategies, roadmaps, and architectures to support organizational goals and priorities.
- Strong understanding of enterprise architecture frameworks (e.g., TOGAF, Zachman) and methodologies for designing and managing technology infrastructure.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively across all levels of the organization.
- Proven track record of leading cross-functional teams and driving transformational change in digital service delivery and technology management.
We offer a competitive salary range of $136,307 - $161,381 per annum, depending on skills and experience, as well as 15.4% superannuation. We are committed to fostering a workplace with flexible work arrangements to support a diverse, respectful, and inclusive culture for all staff.
